I started this site many years ago.
Just for myself...

The children got interested, so I decided to put it online.

Gradually it developed into a search-and-find journey, with other people involved in digging in archives, and other people asking about their own journey into the past of their relatives.

As there is no real chronological order in discoveries, you will find pages that change through the time. Sometimes minor things are added, but as more and more people ask me where they can find their info, I am adding searchlinks and search-information.

When you are looking for information about your relative(s),
keep copies of the declaration of death of your relative ready,
and proof you are a relative.

One of the problems I encounter is closed files. Mainly due to privacy laws.
So always make clear that your relative has died, both in the text and as attachment.

Another issue is finding out if advice to search somewhere is good advice.
So make your search as broad as possible, and narrow it down along the way.
Keep notes. That's why there is a special page for the timeline of my research.

Rests me to say that I try to keep the blog in chronological order of my father's history.
